The International Board of Certified Trainers (IBCT) was originally founded in 1988 as a professional society in the United States. Currently it’s a global not-for-profit foundation acting under the European law. IBCT’s mission is to improve the training profession and the public’s perception of it. It has regional headquarters spread over several regions. One of the most important objectives of the board is to strengthen the preparation of training and talent development professionals on a global scale.
Higher Education is at the top of the cascade, growing and shaping the future HR talents. Today’s world is facing considerable challenges – challenges too big to be dealt with by any country or organization acting alone: the economic crisis; unemployment, especially for young people; changing demographics; new technologies and modes of working. These global changes drives us to define the new key competencies for the future together.
Because Higher Education is at the top of “the cascade”, we give it special priority. Organizing dozens of unique multilevel train-the-trainer programs, together with IBCT-Focal Points and volunteering passioned senior train-the-trainers, is one of the efforts that demonstrates that we chase our mission with ambition. Opportunities like co-organizing this conference with our fine partner HRDC Beni Suef University is another example how we serve the community to prepare them today to excel in the future.
Competencies for 2030 will add “fresh oxygen” to the water at the spring of “the cascade”, so all at the downstream will benefit from it.
