    Competencies 2030 will take place April 26-27, 2016 at the Safir Hotel, Cairo, Egypt.

  • Am I eligible for the IBCT member rate?

    All the following are entitled to a special rate:

    • IBCT Trainers (at the 3 levels, AT, CPT & CT/CHRD).
    • University Students.
    • Group (5+) registration.
  • When will the registration desk in the hall be open

    The registration desk will be open 08:30 AM on April 26.

  • What are important date and deadlines?
    • March 30, 2016 - Registration Deadline
    • April 05, 2016 - Proposals due.
    • April 10, 2016 – Notifications concerning the status of proposals
    • April 15, 2016 – Submission of the PowerPoint/Manuscript and hand-outs
    • April 26-27, 2016 – Competencies for 2030 Conference in Cairo
  • What is the cancellation policy for the conference?

    Conference registrations are subject to a non-refundable $50 processing fee. Cancellations made in writing prior to 4/1/16 will receive a refund of the registration fee minus the $50 processing fee. Cancellations after 4/1/16 are nonrefundable. This policy applies to all registrations, including those forms accompanied by a PO.

     No-shows are subject to full payment. Unpaid no-shows will be invoiced at the late rate. This policy applies to all registrations.

     Any registrant whose fees are unpaid can only pay cash in US currency +15% at the late registration desk. This policy applies to all registrations.

  • I am an overseas participant and need a letter of invitation before I can receive my visa. What is the procedure?

    Participant may request an invitation letter by emailing conference@ibct-mena.com

    We will only provide an invitation letter upon official request. Please note that we do not give any further support to the visa application process. Obtaining a visa remains the sole responsibility of the participant. Regular cancellation deadlines apply, regardless of whether your visa was granted or not.

  • What is included in the registration rates?

    For (international) speakers:
    • Peer reviewing and publication in the Conference Proceedings in case of research articles.
    • Publishing abstracts/talks on the Conference website and the e-Booklet.
    • Admission to all conference sessions
    • Coffee breaks and lunchbox during the 
    • Transportation from the conference hotels to 
the conference venue.
    • Conference bag including certificate as 
international speaker and/or certificate as 
active participant.
    • Cairo Guided sightseeing Tour 
(For International Participants only!)


    For (international) participants:
    • Admission to all conference sessions
    • Coffee breaks and lunchbox during the 
    • Transportation from the conference hotels to 
the conference venue.
    • Conference bag including certificate as 
active participant.

  • Will I receive a certificate of attendance?

    Yes! All participants will receive an international certificate that acknowledges their active participation in the conference sessions.

  • Will I receive a certificate as a speaker?

    Yes! All speakers are entitled to receive an international certificate that acknowledge that they were international speaker at our top-end conference.

  • Is there funding available to help with travel/registration costs?

    As all the organizing bodies are not-for-profit, we are unable to assist with traveling, registration and accommodation costs.

  • What are the proposal selection criteria?

    The extent to which the proposal targets the conference theme, scope and standards. 

    • Experience/expertise of presenters/speakers
    • Designation and applicability of the topic
    • Timeliness and importance of topic
    • Overall Proposal quality
    • Appropriateness of the content to the time allotted.
    • Speakers are encouraged to assure that their sessions:
 will encourage active learning,
      • demonstrate innovative thinking,
      • link presented topics to their working places.


    The online proposal submission system will ask you to include the following for your session:

    description, learning objectives, and instructional methods. While you are submitting this information, please provide enough detail so the planning committee would understand how your session is structured and what key issues will be covered. 
Incomplete proposals will not be considered and all proposals must be submitted using this online.

  • What are the appropriate target topics for the conference?

    Appropriate topic areas include (but are not limited to):

    • Future competencies for HRM experts in HE
    • Strategic future leadership

    • Faculty future competencies
    • HR/HRD future competencies
    • Future HR management.

  • I'm a presenter - is there a PowerPoint template I should be using?

    All speakers receive a link to a page with information for session presenters, which include a link to the PowerPoint template, as well as other key logistical information for the conference. Presenters may download the PowerPoint template as well at from the download page of our website.

  • How can I receive a list of participants in advance of the conference?

    The participant list is sent to registered attendees twice: once after the registration deadline, then after the regular registration deadline.  A full participant list will be available at the conference.

  • Can I advertise in the conference program?

    Yes, you can advertise in the conference program. Please contact us via conference@ibct-mena.com to request so.

  • How can my organization become a conference sponsor?
